About

Government Data Center(GDC) is one of the critical ICT infrastructures built under the eGov initiative program that is envisioned to fulfill a whole-of-government approach to reduce duplication of effort and resources; and  improve service delivery and efficiency through effective use of ICT.

GDC is implemented and managed by the Department of Information Technology and Telecom (DITT), Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC), Royal Government of Bhutan. It was officially launched on March 23, 2017.

It serves  as a centralized facility housing business-critical applications of the government agencies. It is built on highly efficient and resilient hardware  and virtualization technology.

It facilitates faster deployment of online services, store critical information and government services, optimize resource and minimize system duplication.
